GEIGER-MUELLER COUNTING SYSTEMS BASIC / INTRODUCTORY LAB SYSTEMS MULTICHANNEL ANALYZER SCALERS / RATEMETERS ADVANCED GM SYSTEM & ACCESSORIES ISOTOPE GENERATOR
The Basic Geiger-Mueller Laboratory System can be used by students to explore and gain an understanding of radiation shielding, inverse square law, half-life, radioactive dating and more. This system is designed for high school or college nuclear lab courses. Conveniently packaged, the system contains a GM detector, 6-decade scaler with preset timer, a 10-piece absorber set, a multi-position stand and 3 low activity exempt sources (CO-60, SR-90 and PO-210). The unit can be connected to an IBM or MAC microcomputer using the included cable and software. Manuals are supplied on a CD. It can also be used as a stand-alone instrument. The basic unit has count range of 0-999,999 counts; 1, 10, 100, 1K, 10K and 100K second timing intervals, a 6-decade LCD readout; a 0-800V power supply, variable in 20V increments; analog or digital CPM and CPS, gross count and elapsed time; a GM tube operating at 500V with a 150V operating plateau; and DB-9 serial ports for the MAC or IBM.
TEL ST250S Introductory Geiger-Mueller Lab System With the Introductory Geiger-Mueller Lab System your students can perform many radiation experiments. A Ratemeter, TEL ST250; GM Tube with Stand, TEL GM25; a 3 source set, TEL RSS-3; a set of 20 absorbers, TEL RAS20; all connecting cables, as well as an experimental manual and teachers guide (on CD) is also included in the system. Special emulation software lets you connect the ratemeter to an IBM compatible microcomputer for computer screen display of digital and analog information. Collected data can be stored and transferred to a spreadsheet.
